The Space Key is a collection of five physical items which unlocks an exclusive digital artwork by a yet to be identified artist. The 'collectors piece' was created in collaboration with NFTPRO(tm) and is limited to five units. It will be auctioned soon.
Each Space Key contains a block composed of carbon-fired composite material. It was sent to the International Space Station as part of a 2019 research program. After returning to Earth the block was engraved with QR codes that link to the digital element within the Space Key.
Each of the five Space Keys features a different moment that takes place at different times when the Lamborghini Ultimae takes off towards the stars. Over 600 million pixels up each of the five images, which were taken by photographer Fabian Oefner.
Oefner employed an inflatable camera with a lens to capture individual images, which were later put together into the final image. The result is an amazing out of the world image that captures the beauty of the Earth and the futuristic, hyper-realistic picture of the car rising away from it.
